Hey everyone!

This week, I want to talk about something that can make a huge difference when we’re working in advocacy—scaling successful approaches. You know that feeling when you finally see progress on a project or start to feel like your message is landing? The next question is usually, “How can I do more of this?” Knowing what works is powerful, but expanding it to make an even bigger impact—that’s where real change starts to take shape.

This topic feels especially meaningful for me right now. Losing my mother last week has changed my perspective on so much. It’s been a reminder of why we do this work, how personal our motivations are, and the importance of bringing our experiences into what we do. In advocacy, lived experience is a powerful tool. It’s a way to connect with people on a deeper level and show that our work isn’t just about policies—it’s about real lives. So, as we talk about scaling our successes, let’s remember the value of bringing our stories to the table.
